Does the Constitution obey the Word of God?

| |

As I was writing another post, I stumbled upon the question of whether the Constitution is entirely obedient to the Word of God. I found that I did not have a clear answer. I still don't, even as I post this, though I intend to look into the matter.

Does anyone else have an opinion on this? (I mean, besides Wayne, from whom I am certain we will hear very soon. Smiling)

Romans 13

| |

I found a website that teaches about Romans 13, correcting the popular misinterpretation that it teaches slavery (or mindless submission) to civil government. The buzz among many online personae these days definitely has been leaning toward mindless submission (foretaste of the Delusion to come?), even to an illegal and wayward government. In light of this, I've added the site to the Links section on the right for easy reference. » read more »

"Scientific" Faith

|

For 150 years, idiots have been looking for the mythological planet Vulcan. No, it's not the one from Star Trek, although they did take the name from this myth. 150 years ago, astronomers began looking for a hypothetical planet with an orbit between Mercury and the sun. They theorized its existence because Mercury's orbit was not behaving as the models were predicting. They predicted an elliptical orbit, and they saw one, but they also observed this ellipse slowly rotating (the foci were not stationary as the models predicted). They concluded there must be another planet, a fairly large one, that was pulling Mercury's orbit around. » read more »

Global Warming? You Betcha' if You're Uncle Sam!

The Bush administration didn't cave into the global warming lie until recently, just as the lie was being debunked by many scientists. Now I know why our government has had a change of heart...

Proof of Innocence

Muslims like to whine about how they're treated "badly" in the U.S., a frequent victim of Muslim doctrine. Fundamental doctrine in Islam requires the murder of infidels, especially Jews and Christians. It's not only stated in the Koran/Quran, but it's repeated. If only 10% of Muslims take their Koran seriously, that's 100,000,000 terrorists right there. So, yes, if you identify yourself as Muslim, it's reasonable to conclude there's a fair chance you're a potential terrorist. The burden of proof would seem to be on the Muslim himself, to demonstrate how he has rejected the Koran. » read more »

Censorship

|

WND had a link to an MSNBC article about 9 Muslims being pulled off a plane because of suspicious remarks they made. Even though the article still shows up in MSNBC's own search engine, the article itself has been pulled. I guess they can't have the pesky truth interfering with their worship of all things Muslim.

How Bush threw election to Obama

From http://www.worldnetdaily.com/?pageId=85277 :

In the beginning of September, Bush announced, in the most dire terms imaginable, a bailout package for mortgage lenders. He assigned Treasury Secretary Henry Paulson to begin emergency negotiations with Congress on the size and scope. It was presented to the American people not as a request, but as a demand. There was no time for debate. The very stability of the economy and the markets hung on an immediate action.

That's the day McCain's fate was sealed.

Consumer Protection

Next month, a new Consumer Protection law goes into effect. From what I understand, all items sold for kids under 12 years old (books, clothes, toys) must be tested for lead and other theoretically bad stuff. The catch is, it applies to used stuff, consignments, and even stuff given away for free. The only way to sell/give such items, then, would be independent testing and associated documentation of such. The day it goes into effect (Feb. 10, 2009) is being called National Bankruptcy Day because of all the businesses that will go under as a result. » read more »

Scratch on LCD screen

Help needed. Any advice appreciated.

Toddler scratched an LCD screen. I'd like to repair it, but all I'm finding on the net is to either rub petroleum jelly into the scratch, or take it in for repair. I don't want to do either. Do you have any other suggestions? Thanks in advance.

Hot Wife

Just days after my hot, blond wife turned 50 (yes, I have her permission to reveal her age)--and without any makeup--she is carded at the liquor store! And the clerk, young enough to be our son, wasn't kidding. The only thing hotter would be if she were packing heat, too--and she was! Boy, am I blessed!

Israel and Gaza

Israel is finally reacting to the thousands of missiles launched by the Arabs in Gaza into civilian areas, towns, neighborhoods, and homes in southern Israeli towns near Gaza. Good for Israel! I still think they reacted too slowly and too late, but at least they're finally protecting their citizens from Arab terrorists. » read more »

Dating Methods

So-called "scientists" of the secular variety enjoy jabbing creation scientists. They stupidly claim creation science is not a science at all, all the while practicing something that cannot possibly be called science by even their own definitions. Here is a good description of how these priests of Evolution use dating methods. » read more »

Overt and Subtle Dangers

Many Christians enjoy ducking those things of our culture which overtly violate Biblical values. For example, when a church begins ordaining homosexuals, many believers will confront the leadership and, when that fails to make a difference, vote with their feet (leave). Often, believers will avoid popular songs about cop-killing, suicide, and illicit drugs. They will occasionally boycott businesses advocating antibiblical values. All these responses from believers are indeed to be respected. » read more »

Russian Predicts America's Demise

|

A respected Russian analyst predicts the U.S. will dissolve into six parts in 2010. He's certainly right about the reasons for such a prediction. As this depression mimics the 1873 one more than the 1929 one, there's also a good chance the U.S. will emerge the loser, geopolitically and economically speaking. In other words, yes, Russia and China (and India?) will likely emerge as the world leaders economically. » read more »

North American Integration

I've been listening to Glenn Beck's An Inconvenient Book. In general, he's pretty lame - a DJ-turned-pundit who thinks he's much funnier than he is. But the last chapter of his book opened my eyes to something I didn't know existed. He has a hypothesis for the real reason that the war on illegal immigration is getting nowhere. He mentioned some factors that I've heard before and agree with somewhat:
* Republicans cater to big business that demands access to cheap labor
* Democrats cater to Hispanic-American voters
* Terrain makes it difficult to build a fence » read more »

Military Prepared to Take on Citizens

The U.S. Army is readying itself to take on American citizens. Of course, it's not like this is new. What lesson can patriots take from this? There's no point to "civil unrest"; instead, just straight to guerrilla tactics and all-out rebellion. Thanks, Army. » read more »

Real Angels

|

Some people see miracles everywhere, and it waters down the truth. Here, many people are claiming they see an angel in the hallway of a hospital. The reflections of the supposed angel on the waxed floor obviously indicate merely reflected light. Obama Worship

I don't understand this worship of Obama that seems to be afflicting much of the nation. The idiot has barely accomplished anything at all in his short career suckling at the public teat. What little he has done and all that he espouses is destruction of those values that used to be known as American, good, and Godly. His millions of worshipers do prove one valuable thing, though: whether or not Obama is the Antichrist--he's at least an antichrist--I can now see how the Antichrist will be foolishly worshiped, deluding stupid millions into a vacuous frenzy of idiotic idolatry. » read more »

The U.S. Census is coming around again soon (2010). Border Guards Defenseless

It's tough to win a war when our troops are not allowed to fire their weapons:

A team of Mexican drug smugglers unloaded $1 million worth of drugs across the U.S. border, spraying bullets at U.S. Border Patrol agents with automatic weapons, but the agents dared not return fire – as one official said they fear losing their jobs or ending up behind bars like agents Ignacio Ramos and Jose Compean. » read more »

Jubilee

| |

The Bible prescribes a Year of Jubilee every fifty years. What's involved with this tradition? At first glance, it's an obvious "reset" economically speaking. Debts are canceled. Land is returned. Since the law of Jubilee was given at a time when Israel's government was minimal--judges only--it's difficult to know whether or not this "reset" applied to government, too. Thomas Jefferson recommended armed revolution every 20 years to roll back government corruption. Might the year of Jubilee be a means of doing just this? Was this part of its intent?

CA Marriage Woes

| | |

CA voters long ago passed DOMA (defense of marriage act, defining marriage as one man and one woman). The state Supreme Court overturned the law as being unconstitutional. The voters responded by passing Prop 8, an amendment to the state's constitution that succinctly defines marriage as one man and one woman. Now the CA AG is refusing to defend it--he's fighting it, in fact--because it's "unconstitutional". » read more »

From Baal to Barack

As this column indicates, the distance from ancient Baal worship to modern leftism isn't exactly a giant leap. It's actually barely a step. And they call themselves "progressives."

Ba'al is back!

The old gods are back:

[T]he fundamentals of Baal worship remain alive and well today. The principal pillars of Baalism were child sacrifice, sexual immorality (both heterosexual and homosexual) and pantheism (reverence of creation over the Creator).

Let's call liberals, abortionists, environmentalists, and fornicators what they really are: Ba'al worshipers, Baalists. » read more »
