Stupidity
"Scientific" Faith
Submitted by Wayne on Tue, 2009-01-06 09:59. Creationism | StupidityFor 150 years, idiots have been looking for the mythological planet Vulcan. No, it's not the one from Star Trek, although they did take the name from this myth. 150 years ago, astronomers began looking for a hypothetical planet with an orbit between Mercury and the sun. They theorized its existence because Mercury's orbit was not behaving as the models were predicting. They predicted an elliptical orbit, and they saw one, but they also observed this ellipse slowly rotating (the foci were not stationary as the models predicted). They concluded there must be another planet, a fairly large one, that was pulling Mercury's orbit around. » read more »
Blog Rules
Submitted by Wayne on Fri, 2009-01-02 08:58. StupidityVox has some good blog rules:
You will be addressed in the style you choose...
You are expected to back up your assertions...
This is not a democracy...
Members of my family are not [fair game]...
I don't expect everyone to agree with me on everything... [G]iven my oft-stated belief that most people are idiots, it would greatly concern me if they did. » read more »
Those Wacky French
Submitted by Wayne on Fri, 2008-12-26 12:56. StupidityThe French, renowned for their law enforcement prowess, sieze ten tons of "counterfeit chocolate".
"France has neither winter, nor summer, nor morals. France is miserable because it is filled with Frenchmen, and Frenchmen are miserable because they live in France." --Mark Twain
Real Angels
Submitted by Wayne on Fri, 2008-12-26 10:36. Doctrine | StupiditySome people see miracles everywhere, and it waters down the truth. Here, many people are claiming they see an angel in the hallway of a hospital. The reflections of the supposed angel on the waxed floor obviously indicate merely reflected light. WND's poll has "angel" at the top of the list (38%) with "reflected light" a very distant second (12%). » read more »

Left Coast Follies
Submitted by Wayne on Wed, 2008-12-17 08:37. StupidityThe Left Coast paves the way in 2008:
As we prepare to look back on 2008, the Pacific Justice Institute recalls ten of the worst attacks on faith, family and freedom in the Golden State.
1. In May, the California Supreme Court strikes down Prop. 22, the voter-approved definition of marriage as only between a man and a woman. The court says that equal protection requires gay marriage. » read more »

Submitted by Wayne on Tue, 2008-12-16 14:53. Law | Patriots | Politics | StupidityA homeschooling mother encounters government agents (a "dog warden" and a police officer) who have no clue what the Fourth Amendment is:
A dog warden showed up at the Jones (name changed to protect privacy) family home in Northern Ohio after receiving a tip from neighbor. She demanded entry into the family’s home, because she wanted to “see if their dog was healthy.” » read more »

We must ban automobiles now! There can be no deaths by automobile if there are no automobiles. There are over 42,000 deaths in this country due to automobiles. As dangerous as these multi-ton death machines are, they cannot be allowed to roam our streets. Licensing and registration have not worked, so confiscation is required. Get those automobiles out of the hands of criminals. » read more »
Atheists' Faith
Submitted by Wayne on Wed, 2008-12-10 08:35. StupidityStupid atheists (pardon the redundancy) have taken to posting signs around nativity scenes. These signs say, "There are no gods, no devils, no angels, no heaven or heck. There is only our natural world. Religion is but myth and superstition that hardens hearts and enslaves minds." » read more »
Illiterate Arabs
Submitted by Wayne on Mon, 2008-12-08 12:31. Islam | StupidityAs illiterate as I think Americans are, as a lot, they still manage to read the equivalent of 11 books per year on average. The average Arab, on the other hand, manages to eek out just 4 pages per year on average. Notice, that's pages, not books.
