Romans 13

| |

I found a website that teaches about Romans 13, correcting the popular misinterpretation that it teaches slavery (or mindless submission) to civil government. The buzz among many online personae these days definitely has been leaning toward mindless submission (foretaste of the Delusion to come?), even to an illegal and wayward government. In light of this, I've added the site to the Links section on the right for easy reference. » read more »

Military Prepared to Take on Citizens

The U.S. Army is readying itself to take on American citizens. Of course, it's not like this is new. What lesson can patriots take from this? There's no point to "civil unrest"; instead, just straight to guerrilla tactics and all-out rebellion. Thanks, Army. » read more »

The End of the United States

|

The Constitution is unofficially dead and has been for quite some time. Officially, though, the U.S. could come to an end very soon. There are only two more states needed to call a Constitutional Convention. Most assuredly, if one is called, the strong central government called for by the Constitution (which I oppose) will be replaced with an even stronger one. » read more »

4th is dead

A homeschooling mother encounters government agents (a "dog warden" and a police officer) who have no clue what the Fourth Amendment is:

A dog warden showed up at the Jones (name changed to protect privacy) family home in Northern Ohio after receiving a tip from neighbor. She demanded entry into the family’s home, because she wanted to “see if their dog was healthy.” » read more »

Farah's Cow

|

Joseph Farah is having a cow:

Recently, a reader shared a letter he received from Sen. Mel Martinez, R-Fla., about the controversy over Barack Obama's eligibility questions. Martinez questioned none of the assertions of the letter writer vis-à-vis the unanswered questions about the missing birth certificate, issues with his parentage and his years living in Indonesia.

I'm not willing to accept this. » read more »

Time yet?

Just saw a good comment from Vox Day's blog:

"Is it time to water the tree of liberty yet?"

Of course, considering the original quote, that is a double-edged sword.

Time for Revolution

| |

I've blogged a bit in the past about the demise of this once great nation and the inevitable need for another revolution to restore liberty once again. I've repeatedly said it's not yet time for revolt, despite our present government's abuses being far worse than the British crown's in the mid-to-late eighteenth century. In discussions of late, I've come to realize just when it is time for revolt, armed if necessary. » read more »

First, check the Constitution

| | | |

Not long ago, I happened to reread an old blog post of mine that deals with the issue of the powers granted to the federal government by the Constitution. After I finished reading my "additional thoughts" at the end, another thought occurred to me. When President Washington was considering the bill, passed by Congress, that would enact a national bank, he wanted to investigate whether it was supported by the Constitution before he signed it into law. This seems like a reasonable approach to me, but unfortunately, today's lawmakers don't seem to have much regard for the Constitution. » read more »

Chickens live next door

|

America will be like Mexico in 50 years, says Vox. I don't think it'll take that long at all. My Hispanic neighbors occupy 50% of the homes on my suburban street but nearly 90% of the population. For example, the 3-bedroom, 1.75-bath house next door has had at least 13 people living in it. The dozen or so across the way have already moved in their livestock, chickens. (trying...to suppress...urge to rant...)

Illegal immigrants from the south generally aren't ready for membership in a first-world society. Rather than living up to the standards of civilization (e.g., rule of law), they tend to bring with them their barbarians ways, pulling an already precarious society right off the edge of civilization. When this hemisphere merges politically, our Hispanic neighbor nations will not inherit America's legacy of innovation, growth, and Christian philosophy--instead, America will inherit their legacy of petty dictatorships, total corruption, and lawlessness. » read more »
